Bohemian Fall Decor Inspiration

Bohemian Fall Decor Inspiration

I’m arguably a month late, but we’re finally embracing fall over here at the Armbruster household! I don’t like the typical orange hues or spooky Halloween vibes in my home because it just doesn’t align with my taste, but I can get behind some muted pumpkins and mixed textures that flow seamlessly with my existing decor. For those of you who feel the same way, this post is for you! Keep reading for details on our fall decor this year, where to find the best stuff, what to look for and links to items that will help you achieve the perfect boho look!

Bohemian Fall Decor Inspiration

Our decor this year is from HomeGoods, Target and Kirklands. The color scheme I had in mind was natural tones like beige, as well as light green and soft peach. The first item I picked up was a new wreath. It took me a while to find one that I felt fit my aesthetic, but I love this wheat one from HomeGoods. I’ll be including links to some similar ones for inspiration purposes later on in this post, but keep in mind that you can get MUCH cheaper ones at places like HomeGoods and TJ Maxx that are a fraction of the price and are still amazing quality!

I wasn’t originally going to get pumpkins this year because if I were to get any, I wanted the weird green and peach ones, but I didn’t want to go out of my way to track them down. The apple orchard we went to only had orange ones, in addition to most patches and shops we passed here and there. I happened to walk past a big box of them at Target when on a trip to get something else (isn’t that how it always works?!) and thought we might as well pick some up! They rang up as squash instead of pumpkins for some reason so we got them for only $1.49 apiece! I love how they coordinate with our minty blue/green door and they help maintain the sort of beachy vibe that this palette creates. I added mine, Justin and Lucia’s initials in permanent marker for a personal touch and I think they turned out so cute!

INSPIRATION

If you like my decor and are wanting to recreate something similar for your home, here are some elements to incorporate to dress up your pumpkins or any existing decor you have, as well as some ideas of things to look for while you’re shopping:

  • Wooden beads
  • Tassels — you can make your own with yarn and jute twine!
  • Knitted items
  • Neutrals, pastels and dusty hues (my personal preference)
  • Natural wreaths
  • Jute accents

PUMPKINS

Again, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods have some REALLY cute glass and ceramic ones this year! A glass one would be a nice, minimalistic dining table centerpiece and you can mix and match smaller ones on shelves, TV stands, etc. to further incorporate fall in your home.

WOODEN BEADS

I use these all year round, but they’re great accent pieces for seasonal decor too. They’re easy to pair with other textures and they add a little something extra to pretty much anything!

JUTE RUGS

I’ve been itching to get one of these for our front porch! They’re a bit different than the typical doormat and though they tend to be expensive, you can shop around to find one for a good deal.

WREATHS

I’m all about the natural wheat ones this year! They’re so simplistic in the best way possible, looking chic with zero effort. As I mentioned previously, the ones below are pricey, but those are the ones that were available to link on ShopStyle, so I just included them for inspiration examples and I encourage you to look for better deals elsewhere!

Those are my bohemian fall decor picks! I hope this inspires you to get creative with your space without feeling like you have to conform to the typical orange & black or rustic theme if that’s not your vibe. There’s something out there for everyone’s style! Thanks so much for reading and check back for a big life update post later this week!
