My Best TJ Maxx Finds and the Stories Behind Them (+ VIDEO)

Hi everyone! You probably know I’m a self-proclaimed TJ Maxx queen. I’m all about finding the best high-quality items while saving a crazy amount of money while doing so, and TJ’s never disappoints in that department. Today I’m sharing my best TJ Maxx finds and the stories behind them with a VIDEO included showing you the pieces!

To preface this, I’ve been shopping at TJ Maxx for years. It’s my favorite store and I’m a frequent visitor to say the least, and I’ve found that frequent drop-ins have helped me snag the best stuff before anyone else can. Since I love the store so much, I’m selective on what I invest money in to ensure my purchases are worthwhile and I’m not just buying things to buy things, you know?

The #1 thing I want you guys to take away from this post is that you can get high-end, classic, yet trendy home decor pieces from places other than West Elm or Urban Outfitters. Though both of those stores have cute items, they can be highly overpriced. Give stores like TJ Maxx and HomeGoods a chance because I promise you you’ll find items just like ones you’d get at West Elm and Urban Outfitters for a fraction of the price.

With all of that being said, the first item I want to share today is my infamous blue velvet headboard.

This was such a gem of a find! I wasn’t necessarily looking for a headboard when I went into TJ Maxx this particular day, but knew I needed it the second I saw it. I literally couldn’t stop thinking about it and ended up driving back to get it the next morning, which you’ll hear me talk about in the video. Justin and I didn’t have a headboard yet and were just using a metal bed frame, but I knew this piece would be the perfect finishing touch to our bedroom suite. It’s made of the softest suede I’ve ever felt and the medium blue shade fits our existing decor so perfectly. A headboard can instantly make your bed appear way more expensive than it was, so I recommend adding one to your room!

The next item is my pink velvet chair, which looks straight out of a catalog.

I’m in love with this thing. Before this chair came along, our living room seating only included a couch and we were in need of something extra. I think accent chairs are such a great addition when a room feels a little empty and unfinished. I’ve never seen a chair of this size with a high back at TJ Maxx since the day I bought this, so I’m so happy I didn’t pass it up! It’s super comfy and I hope to add it to home office or large master bedroom one day.
