Home Decor Update: Bohemian Floor Cushions, Rattan Light Fixture + More

Hey guys! I’m so happy that you guys love all this home decor stuff too because it’s such a huge passion of mine! If you keep up with my Instagram, you know we’re always adding things here and there to our house and that filling a home is a process. Keep reading for a home decor update including some of our most recent purchases and how we’re styling them, including bohemian floor cushions, dreamcatchers, light fixtures & more!

FLOOR CUSHIONS

How cute are these?! I pretty much have some kind of vision for each room/area of our home, but the entryway space connecting our front door to our main living area had stumped me for a while. The space is quite wide and long, but wouldn’t be fitting for any type of additional seating areas, a desk, a table, etc. It finally dawned on me that a large floor-length mirror styled well would be useful and pretty. I was set on the floor cushion idea the second I thought of it. I eventually shared this with you guys on my Instagram story and a few of you told me to check Target’s OpalHouse line — THANK YOU! These are pretty big and they come in the pink and gold-ish colors I got, as well as blue, grey, cream and black. You can shop them below.

DREAMCATCHER

This dreamcatcher is so pretty! I stumbled across it at TJ Maxx one day and instantly fell in love with its delicate, bohemian vibe. I’ve loved dreamcatchers for years (we even got married under one!) and I find myself drawn to them stylistically, so this was an easy pick for me. Right now, it’s hanging on the open wall space between our dining room and living room where I hope to put the floor-length mirror when we get one. I’ve linked some very similar ones below!

RATTAN PENDANT

I’ve dreamed of having a light fixture like this for so long, so installing this rattan one and seeing it in our dining area really tied everything together for me. It’s a nice, light color that helps to further brighten the room while adding some fun texture as well. It’s directly in your line of sight when you walk in our front door, which I love since it instantly sets the tone of our home. It’s great quality and easy to install, so I highly recommend it!

MASTER BEDROOM CEILING FAN

As you probably know, I was reluctant to get any ceiling fans (they’re not always the prettiest for resale), but we agreed that it may be nice to have one in the master bedroom. We’re loving this one! It comes with a remote that controls the fan speed and light, which is kind of fancy and fun! 😂 I like that it’s white because it keeps the space light, bright and makes the room appear large, rather than dark and cramped like a darker fan may have created. It has the Edison bulb and brass detailing as well that’s a consistent theme throughout our entire house. Also, it’s INSANELY quiet!

CANDLE

This is obviously a very small home decor item, but I’m roping it into this post because I wanted to share it. This eco-conscious candle is from Moco Candles, a new small business here in Indy. She hand pours them straight from her home and they smell heavenly, you guys! She so kindly sent me this one to try and I’ve been really enjoying it — plus, the whole orchid + ocean salt scent really flows with our aesthetic! 😉 You can check out her shop and all the other fun scents here.
