Holiday Gift Guide For One-Year-Olds

If you have a baby or toddler to shop for this year, I’ve got you covered! When thinking about what to get Clay this year, I considered what she would enjoy the most and what would be the easiest to organize and store away if needed. It’s tough to find toys that don’t have a million pieces and/or aren’t bulky, so I provided a few options depending on the needs and interests of who you’re shopping for. Clay already owns some of these and LOVES them, and others we’re considering getting for her this Christmas. There are some additional options linked below that aren’t shown in the graphic above, so be sure to check them all out!

Music set
We got this for Clay for her birthday and she plays with it every day! It’s great quality and a good price for how many instruments you get.

Doll stroller
We bought her this doll stroller for her birthday too and I think it will provide years of fun for her once she starts walking. It’s so beautiful and is great for storing and displaying toys or stuffed animals too!

Balance bike
I believe my parents are getting one of these for Clay. There are so many cute ones on Amazon!

Playhouse tent
My mom gave me the idea to get her a playhouse because she loves closing herself into rooms and climbing into cabinets, so I think she’ll really enjoy it! Also, how exciting would it be to have it set up and waiting for her on Christmas morning?! There are so many adorable ways to style it too, so I’m considering doing a separate post on playhouse accessories and decorations (let me know if you’d like to see that).

Kid couch/chair
Clay has been interested in cuddling on the couch more often recently and climbing up onto everything possible (including Lucia’s bed daily), so I think her own little couch or chair would be fun. My brother and I had fold-out foam chairs growing up and we literally used them through HIGH SCHOOL. We’d slide down our stairs on them as teenagers and even put them on our trampoline and jump around.

Diversity dolls
There are so many beautiful dolls out there, but many cost more than I want to spend. I linked three options that are $40 and under.

Zodiac book
I love astrology, so we’re getting her the Scorpio book as a stocking stuffer. It tells you about traits associated with your sign and it’s so cute!

Musical ball toy
Clay LOVES this. It’s one of her favorites and she plays with it a ton! I love the colors of it and I’ll admit that I have. fun playing with it too. 🤪

Fruit cutting toy
Since Clay loves hitting toys with mallets and what not, I think she’d enjoy this.
