Affordable Bohemian Home Decor Update With Gordmans
Happy Wednesday! I’ve teamed up with Gordmans today to share an affordable bohemian home decor update with finds I snagged at the store — and boy are they good, guys. Keep reading for trendy, budget-friendly pieces to spruce up your space while maintaining a happy (and full) wallet.
When your space is limited and your decor has been exactly the same for a bit, it can easily begin to feel drab and lackluster. I set out to Gordmans in Lafayette this weekend to find a few inexpensive pieces to spice up our apartment to have it feeling fresh again. I’m so excited to share the pieces I found!
If you’ve never been, Gordmans has a ton of furniture and home decor! Their home section is huge and puts TJ Maxx’s to shame size-wise if we’re being honest here — the deals are so hard to pass up. Justin and I circled around the store and decided to take home a round mirror for our entryway, a runner rug and macrame for our kitchen, and a gray fuzzy blanket that can be used in any room to accent our couch, chair or bed.

I love the Anthropologie vibes this mirror is giving off. This was one of those *uncontrollable gasp and immediately grab* kind of finds since I’ve been in the market for a circle mirror for our entryway for about a year. I can’t get enough of the metal design detail around the rim and the twisted rope hanger — I couldn’t have designed this piece better myself! I hope to accent it with a large floor plant and/or a bench underneath to sit on when removing and putting on our shoes as we come and go.
Our kitchen is TINY and I’m so relieved that this runner rug fits because I knew I had to have it the second I saw it! I was about to put it back on the shelf but Justin seemed pretty confident that it would fit, so huge thanks to him for saving the day. I’ve seen runners exactly like this in kitchens all over Pinterest and assumed I’d have to wait until we had a bigger kitchen to get one, which wasn’t the case! Don’t limit yourself when browsing around because you probably have more options than you think! I love the blue hues in this piece because they compliment the blue art we have in our living room so well and ties everything together.
This macrame wall hanging is right up my alley — so bohemian! Our kitchen was lacking any kind of decor before this, and I really didn’t know how much it needed some fun pieces until I put these in there. I like to keep the kitchen light, bright and minimal, so this dark colored rug (love that it can easily hide any accidental spillage) and delicate wall hanging totally complete the space.
This grey throw has got to be one of the softest blankets I’ve ever felt. I decided to go with grey since it will match both out living room and bedroom decor, providing a few options on where we can style it throughout our apartment. I love the texture and contrast it adds to our chair!
I purchased all of these items for $150, which is an amazing deal for such high-quality pieces! Here’s the price breakdown:
- Large circle mirror: $79.99
- Macrame wall hanging: $12.98
- Blue runner rug: $39.99
- Grey throw blanket: $16.99
I mentioned this in my last post with them, but one of my favorite things about Gordmans is their lowest price guarantee. This means in the unlikely event you find an item for less at a competitor, they’ll match the price and give you a $5 Gordmans gift card! That means money back AND free shopping dollars, which is such an awesome business practice!
If you haven’t ventured into Gordmans yet or its been years since your last visit, I highly suggest going. Discount stores like this are so fun because you never know what you’re going to find, plus knowing you’re getting your favorite items for a cheaper price is such an amazing feeling. You can click here to find a store location near you.
You can check out my previous Gordmans collaboration blog post (ft. cozy clothing finds for a New Year’s Eve night in) from last month here. If you go to Gordmans and get some great deals, tag me so I can see them and get a secondhand shopper’s high! 😉 I hope you enjoyed seeing my home decor selections and how I styled them — have a great day!
*Thanks so much to Gordmans for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

Hi Rebecca! The closest one to me is about an hour and fifteen minutes, but the deals I find make the drive worth it — such cute stuff!
I am SO in love with that mirror!!
