What’s In My Diaper Bag (Fawn Design Original)
I was requested to do a blog post on what’s in my diaper bag, so today’s post is exactly that! I’m sharing everything I keep in my Fawn Design Original diaper bag (the larger of the two sizes sold in this style) for my almost four-month-old daughter.
To preface this, we haven’t gone on trips with her or left the house much (hello COVID-19). The only places she’s been are our parents’ houses, the doctor and to a friend’s house one time. When it comes to packing, we don’t need a lot because we’re not away from home very long, but these are our essentials if we’re going to be out and about for a few hours. I linked exactly what we use!
- Diapering
- 6+ diapers (depends on how long we’ll be gone, but I always have at least this many)
- Pack of wipes
- Changing mat
- Butt paste and mini bum brush
- Plastic bag for dirty diapers
- Feeding
- Bottle, if needed (I only bring a bottle when we go to the pediatrician because it’s easier, otherwise I just breastfeed)
- 1-2 burp cloths
- Nursing/car seat cover — I have one from Copper Pearl and love it!
- Clothing
- 2 outfits
- 1 pair of socks
- 1 hat (she’s usually wearing it since it’s cold out)
- Entertainment + Soothing
- 1-2 pacifiers (she wasn’t into them at first, then liked them for a couple of weeks, then absolutely refused them for months and now likes them again…?)
- 1-2 toys (small ones like a teether or rattle)
- Other
- 1 pack of hand and face wipes
- Baby-safe hand sanitizer
- Travel sound machine (I hook it to her car seat)
- Blanket (it’s always draped on her in the car)
_________
That’s everything in my diaper bag! I find it to be just the right number of items + a few “just in case” things since life is unpredictable with a baby. I hope this post was helpful for you in preparing your diaper bag & let me know if you have any other blog post requests — I’d be happy to do them!
