What to Wear in Winter 2019

Hey guys! Winter is in full swing and that means it’s time to talk fashion trends — what to wear, how to style it and where to buy it if you’re looking to add a few pieces to your wardrobe. I do one of these posts for every season and always have so much fun with it! Keep reading for what to wear this winter, 2019.

SWEATERS OVER DRESSES

How cute is this look? This isn’t something I’d think to do in the winter time, but now I’m inspired to try it this week — if I do, I’ll share it with you guys on my Instagram story! It’s a great way to get away with wearing your favorite spring and summer dresses in the winter, which I’m all about when jeans and a sweater starts to feel boring. You likely have a sweater and dress in your closet already that will work for this, but I’ve linked some below as well!

PUFFER COATS

I’m craving one of these so bad! I would have never predicted that I’d be into puffer coats if you asked me a couple years ago. I have yet to find one I love more than any others in order to bite the bullet and buy it, but I’m really loving the velvet and faux patent leather ones the most right now. Abercrombie has a really cute pink velvet one I love, but it seems to be sold out everywhere! I linked some others I like below.

CHUNKY BOOTS

I’m soooo happy these are in! I’ve loved combat boots for years, and the chunkier with more straps or fur, the better! I wear my Franco Sarto ones all the time and I love them so much that I have to remind myself to wear my other pairs. They seriously go with everything and I look the edge they add to an outfit. Unlike some trends, they’re very practical for winter weather too!

FAUX + PATENT LEATHER PANTS

This is another one of my favorite trends and I love the vibe of it. I finally bought the Spanx faux leather moto leggings and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with them. They’re over $100 and cost far more than I’ve ever spent on a pair of pants, but they’ve changed the game for me. I’ll probably do a blog post reviewing them for those who are interested in purchasing, but in the meantime, I’ve linked that pair and some others at various price points.

FITTED BEANIES

You may be thinking “aren’t all beanies fitted?” but I’m talking about the non-slouchy, no poof-ball ones — simple ones that fit tightly to your head and are often just plain or folded up. I’m not sure why, but I’ve been seeing this specific style everywhere. I want to grab a couple more!
