Our 2019 Christmas Card With Basic Invite
Our Christmas cards are here! I’ve teamed up with Basic Invite the past few years for our holiday card and thanks to their variety of designs and customizations galore, this year is no different. Keep reading to see what went into our Christmas card photo and design choices this year as well as a bit more info about Basic Invite and what they have to offer for your personalized card needs.
BEHIND THE CARD
We were so excited to have Lucia on our card with us this year for her first Christmas! My cousin, Caitlin, came over and shot the photo for us on a very rainy and overcast day, and I was worried the photos wouldn’t turn out due to the lack of natural light. They ended up coming out great and so cute! To help Lucia match us, Justin and I made a quick trip to Joann Fabrics day-of to pick up some fabric that was a close match to our PJs. I tied it around her neck like a bandana and, thankfully, she didn’t mind wearing it and was pretty much a gem for the photoshoot. I may have her wear it again on Christmas morning just for fun (lol).
Though wearing matching pajamas and posing in our home for our Christmas card photo is a constant every year, I strive to incorporate different colors and a new design each year that is unlike the previous seasons. We’ve had green, red, grey and black pajamas in the past, so this year I selected these fun mustard ones. To make everything flow, I knew I wanted to incorporate warm colors in our card design as well, which is super easy to do with Basic Invite. There are an insane amount of color choices and you can customize everything from the text to the font style and more. I came up with three or four card designs that we really loved and I had a couple friends vote to help us decide. This one was the final choice and we love it so much!
ABOUT BASIC INVITE
Basic Invite has over 500 Christmas card and holiday card designs, and with all the customization options I mentioned, the options really are endless. Here are some more details about what they offer:
Almost Unlimited Colors
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. This is what we feel sets us apart from almost any other online stationery company and is what we feel is our biggest draw.
Custom Samples
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as feel the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.
Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes
Basic Invite is just as colorful with our envelopes as we are with our invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different colors when it comes to their envelopes so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of our envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed without licking a single one.
Address Capturing Service
Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. __________
I encourage you to check out Basic Invite for any of your future card needs, whether it be for Christmas or any other occasion. I spent a good chunk of my weekend in bed addressing and stuffing envelopes while binge-watching 90 Day Fiancé thanks to being sick (I’m addicted, you guys) — I can’t wait for our friends and family to get these! Thanks so much for reading and check back for another new post in a few days!
