My Favorite Scrapbooking Supplies

In the last year or two, I decided to make scrapbooks for my kids documenting my pregnancy, their birth and childhood. I’ve saved their hospital bracelets, confetti from their birthday parties and everything in-between to create scrapbooks that are touchably textured, interactive and filled with memories. I’ve always been into collaging and crafting projects like this, so this has become just a great hobby for me.

Prior to starting, I had thought of scrapbooking as being an expensive hobby, but you really can find great stuff that is affordable and goes a long way. I’ve tried out different tape, papers, you name it… and I’ve compiled all of my favorites so far to share with you if you’re thinking about starting a scrapbook of your own or if you just want to try out some new supplies. I’ve included some photos of my daughters’ scrapbooks below for layout inspiration (which I find fun to look at on Pinterest, myself).

It’s all about layering — textured paper and cutting out select images makes everything pop! I print all of my photos at Walgreens: it’s easy to upload and order them online, and even do curbside pickup if you want. You can usually find discount codes on their website to save a good amount of money.

Luckily, I saved so many cards before I ever even decided to scrapbook (and I’m so glad I did!). My friend Natalie gave this one to me along with a handmade gift for Clay when she was born.

I love doing a dedicated spread for their nurseries since they won’t remember them. 🫶🏻

For those of you who are pregnant or hope to be in the future: take as many pics of your belly as you can! Don’t skip out on maternity photos, even if they’re just taken at home (which is what we did). They’re the best to look back on and I think my girls will love seeing them when they’re older too.
