My 2022 Vision Board + Word For The Year

My 2022 Vision Board + Word For The Year

For me, 2021 was about learning motherhood, making lots of sacrifices, evolving into a new and necessary version of myself, and taking my side business full-time, all of which has felt like a total whirlwind. Like I haven’t caught my breath yet or even let it all fully sink in. Here we are in 2022, and two of my biggest dreams are my reality: I’m a mom and I’m my own boss. For the longest time, I believed I’d reach peak happiness when I got both of these things, and I have in a lot of ways, but both come with new stresses, constant schedule adjustments and a lot of balancing to figure out — which often leaves me feeling frazzled and exhausted, constantly running a race against the clock.

Just like I have in past years, I sat down this week to make a 2022 vision board. As a designer and creative, these are right up my alley. I’m a very visual person, so compiling images and words that represent what I want to embody this year and how I want to level up as a person is actually pretty beneficial… and it’s fun.

My word for 2022 is abundance. I developed (and unfortunately maintained) a scarcity mindset last year: always feeling like I don’t have enough time and I’m not doing enough, leaving me stressed and in a never-ending cycle of thinking about what I have to do next. This year, I want to replace those feelings with an abundance mindset, knowing that I have all the time I need, no longer feeling like a slave to my schedule/to-do list, while also attracting more in my life — especially more of the things I love most. More time for myself and with the people I love, more quiet moments, even more success for my business… you get the idea.

With that in mind, here are my goals for 2022:

  • Grow my business and increase my client income
  • Streamline processes in my business
  • Get better at what I do
  • Connect with other moms who are also business owners (I’d love to find people to relate to on this level)
  • Increase my passive income
  • Make moves toward buying a bigger house
  • Plan more activities (both with and without Clay)
  • Get out of the house more
  • Look good, feel good (AKA stop wearing mismatch sweats every day just because “no one sees me”)
  • Be kinder to myself (!!!!!!!!!!)
  • Do more of what rejuvenates me
  • Stop feeling guilty for resting or for doing things for myself (both of which rarely happen currently)
  • Romanticize my life, be better at finding joy in the simple things every day
  • Post on my blog and social media more + step up my personal social media game (which is honestly hard to do since I use up so much of my creativity on my clients)
  • Get ready more often, prioritize self-care and my mental health
  • As mentioned, develop and maintain an abundance mindset

What are you accomplishing in 2022?
