Welcome back to the blog! That’s right, this my first ever recipe post! I’ve been wanting to dabble into this for a bit, but hadn’t come across a recipe that I loved enough to share… until this one. Today I’m sharing my holy-grail homemade jalapeño popper recipe for my savory snackers and bacon-lovers out there, perfect for potlucks, cookouts or movie night bites!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Gloves
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Bowl
  • Fork or spoon for mixing
  • Foil
  • Baking sheet

INGREDIENTS:

  • Jalapeños (each pepper makes two poppers)
  • Cream cheese
  • Bacon
  • Dill
  • Cracked pepper
  • Fresh-cut chives (optional)

BEGIN BY PREHEATING OVEN TO 425 DEGREES

STEP ONE: Cut stems

STEP TWO: Cut peppers in half vertically

STEP THREE: Remove seeds and veins

STEP FOUR: Mix cream cheese, dill and cracked pepper

STEP FIVE: Fill peppers with cream cheese mixture

STEP SIX: Wrap peppers in bacon

STEP SEVEN: Place in oven for 15-20 minutes

STEP EIGHT: Remove when bacon is fully cooked and browned

That’s it, you guys! These are seriously so easy and super fun to make, not to mention absolutely delicious. I crave these on the regular and they’re the perfect treat for all you savory-tooth people out there! As I mentioned, you can mix chives into the cream cheese too (that’s what my mom does when she makes them), but we didn’t have any this time around — they’re great with or without it.
