We made it to Friday, guys! Today’s post is a wrap-up of everything I’ve been loving lately, featuring money and time WELL SPENT. I love to test things out before suggesting them to you guys so you can invest your own money and time wisely, so here’s everything I recommend you check out!

Rainbow Phone Case from Casetify
This is now my favorite phone case I’ve ever had! I upgraded to the iPhone 11 last month and searched high and low for a cute case. It honestly took longer than expected, but I knew this was the one the second I saw it. I had purchased a Casetify case for a family member before, but had never used one myself and I wanted to give it a try. It’s AMAZING quality without being too heavy or chunky, and this cute little rainbow screams me. You can also make your own custom cases on their site and add your name and stuff, so check them out. I have the grip case version.

Lucia’s New Bed from Design Dua
My friend Kassie got this bed for Lucia and I couldn’t love it more. This is one of those completely unnecessary purchases, but it’s also something we’ll have forever that’s both a functional piece and a decor piece in our home. I’m not going to lie, these are pricey, but you really are getting what you’re paying for because the quality is impeccable! I just wanted to briefly include this here because I think I’m going to go an entire blog post on this style of pet bed and all the similar ones I’ve found online, but I love it too much not to share here too!

Cream of Mushroom Soup at the Cake Bake Shop
This is for my local people! My mom and I had a celebratory lunch for my new job this week at the Cake Bake Shop (check out my recent life update post for more on this change) and it was so yummy! I’ve only ever had dessert and a Valentine’s Day-themed brunch there in the past, so I was excited to try out some of their lunch items. The cream of mushroom soup was their soup of the day and it was amazing. I’m a big mushroom girl so I knew I’d love it no matter what, but it did not disappoint!

Things to Watch:

  • The Last Days of Phil Hartman (Hulu) — Jingle All The Way is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. Phil Hartman plays the neighbor and I had no idea he was murdered for all these years… by his own wife, of all people! This was a VERY interesting documentary and I feel so bad for his children.
  • The Mysterious Story of Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack
  • Slenderman Made Me Do It — I’m already very familiar with this case (there’s a great Hulu documentary on it if you haven’t seen it!), but I love this coverage as well.
  • Shallon Lester’s YouTube channel — her content is interesting and funny to me! She’s great if you love celebrity gossip and learning about why people do what they do. I don’t know how much of this is accurate, but it’s entertaining regardless!

Random:

  • We have a TV in our bedroom now and I haven’t been this excited for something in a long time! I’ve never had a TV in my room before, so I keep joking that it’s our hotel room now and I’m truly living my best life with it.
  • Justin and I started rewatching the Harry Potter series via NBC through our Xfinity streaming last week and had so much fun with it… until it cut us off and locked the remaining movies after #4 or 5. 😂 It was fun while it lasted! Who else’s favorite is Goblet of Fire?!
  • On to the next binge — we started How to Get Away With Murder this week! I’ve seen the first three seasons or so, but it’s been YEARS and Justin has never watched it. Even though I remember who kills who and all that, we’re both really enjoying it! Asher is my fave.

__________

That’s everything! I hope you found something new to try in this post. Justin and I are off to a student performance of High School Musical at the school he teaches at tonight and I’m so excited! I wouldn’t say I’m typically a musical girl, but I really love going to these every year and it’s always a good time. In the past few years, we’ve seen them do The Little Mermaid, Addams Family and Footloose. Anyway, thanks for reading & have an amazing weekend!

P.S. Thank you for all of your sweet messages regarding what I shared in my last blog post. It was tough for me to put out there and I’ve had far more bad days than good these last couple months, but it makes me happy that my vulnerability helped some of you. 💗
