Friday Favorites
IT’S FRIDAY, GUYS! Today’s Friday Favorites post includes everything I’ve been loving the past couple weeks and would recommend including true crime shows (I know you guys love this stuff!), music and podcasts!
True Crime Shows
It wouldn’t be a Friday Favorites post of mine without some true crime show recommendations. I binge watch these on YouTube and always find myself searching for good new ones because I’ve already watched so many! Below are some of my favorites I’ve watched over the past couple weeks:
- 2020 on ID: Missing or Murdered
- Dateline: The Women & Dirty John — John Meehan Case
- 12 Year Old Lifer
- Dateline Mystery: The Secrets Of A Happy Marriage
The Greatest Showman Soundtrack
…more specifically “Never Enough” by Loren Allred. Seriously, I get chills every time. This movie and the soundtrack are absolute works of art and you’re doing yourself a disservice (yes, I’m that serious about this) if you don’t go see this movie in theaters. It’s utterly magical with such a great message, not to mention it’s really inspiring too. Go, go, go!
Mile Higher Podcast
This podcast is by YouTuber Kendall Rae and her husband discussing true crime, conspiracy theories and everything juicy. An episode of JonBenet Ramsey went up this week, which is one of my absolute favorite cases to follow because it still makes zero sense to this day. I recommend giving it a listen on your weekly commute, at work or cleaning the house — it’s super interesting and reveals some details from the crime I’ve never even heard before! Kendall has such a genuine personality that shines through in all of her content, which I love so much about her. Let me just say that before this podcast I fully believed the parents were in on it, but after hearing the facts Kendall shared, I’m pretty much ruling them out in my mind! Go give it a listen and let me know your theories! You can watch and listen to it on YouTube here too.
Munchin’ With Moguls Podcast
I’ve listened to an episode or two of this podcast in the past and had to tune in when I heard Jaci Marie Smith (photographer and social media “influencer” — anybody else cringe at that term? What else should it be called?!) was on the latest episode. I really loved her chat about how she got started, how she feels she got to where she is today. She’s so genuine and she gave some good guidance on building a following and creating content that you’re proud of. I really like her and I think you guys will too! She also touched on the blogger/influencer drama that’s going on right now and the argument that people make their followers feel bad about themselves by portraying such a “perfect” life. I’m thinking about doing a “Let’s Talk” post on this because I feel like I have a lot to say having experienced both side of it. Stay tuned.

I love finding new shows, podcasts, etc. to try out and I’d love to include them in future posts (you can check out my previous Friday Favorites posts here if this is your thing). Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!
P.S. If you missed my Instagram post sharing these boots a couple weeks back, I got them for only $9.99! Yes, you read that correctly. They’re a favorite too!
Abby, loved reading your friday favorites! We can’t wait to go and check out some new podcasts!
Thanks for reading, girls! I can’t recommend these podcast episodes enough if you’re interested in true crime and social media influencing!
