End of Summer Picnic with Kroger Symphony on the Prairie

Summer, food and music? Yes please! Today’s post is in collaboration with Kroger’s Symphony on the Prairie, an outdoor concert series at Conner Prairie in Fishers, IN featuring the music of ABBA, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, Robert Randolph and more. Keep reading for my summer picnic essentials and how you can win six concert tickets for your friends and family!

First off, I want to mention how “old fashioned” dates totally need to make a comeback — whether it’s going to a drive-in movie, having a picnic in the park or going to a summer concert rather than just watching TV at home. Whether you’re going with a date, friends or family, fun events and activities like these are ones that will stick out in your mind amongst all the rest, not to mention it’s a fun way to get out of the house and enjoy this gorgeous end-of-summer weather! After doing some fun activities like this over the weekend with my husband, I’m inspired to get out and about in our city more to experience new things together.

For us, something new that we haven’t done together yet in the 4.5 years we’ve been a couple is going to a concert — I know, I know, it’s so crazy that we haven’t done that yet! Symphony on the Prairie would be a great first one for us since it’s laidback and all about the experience, plus we love being outdoors.
