Cool Spring & Summer Sneakers Under $50
Fashion-wise, the item I’m having the most fun styling lately is sneakers. I love how fashion-forward and effortlessly cool they can make ANY outfit look, not to mention they’re super comfortable and practical too. Since I’m so into them right now and I also always strive to shop smart, I thought it would be fun to do a post sharing cool spring and summer sneakers under $50 so you can look good without throwing your entire wallet out the window. We’re budget-friendly over here on abbysaylor.com! 🤣
If you’ve been keeping up with me here and on Instagram, you know I haven’t taken off these snake high-tops guys since I tore them from their packaging. I didn’t know how comfortable they’d be since they’re from Asos and not a shoe-focused store (like Steve Madden or something, you know?), but they’re probably the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn. For real. I didn’t have to break them in whatsoever, they don’t rub, and I could leave them on all day and night long without worry. HIGHLY recommend!
Also, the first day I wore these, a lady in the elevator at work said, “oooo, snakes! I used to have a snake!” I shuttered and said “ohhhh, REALLY?!?!” with a scared look on my face and she said, “you have snakes on your shoes, but you don’t like snakes?” I laughed awkwardly and said “yeah…” I’m still giggling at this interaction.
Anyway, I’ve included this pair and some other ones that have caught my eye recently below!
HOW TO STYLE
There are lots of ways you can style these and I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. I love pairing them with dresses and skirts most to dress the look down a bit for a girly/sporty look. Mixing patterns looks really fashion-forward too because if you’re daring enough to rock it, it looks like you know what you’re doing. One of the easiest ways to do that is to pair a neutral graphic tee or one with coordinating colors with a printed dress/skirt. It’s unexpected and makes your outfit a little more interesting and chic. Trust me, it just works!
__________
Before I sign off, I wanted to say a big thank you to you guys for your sweet messages regarding my last post. Though opening up about my feelings on blogging/social media lately was a little embarrassing for me, I pushed myself to express it because I felt it would do more good out than in, if that makes sense. I’m not always content and confident, but that’s what makes us human. I really appreciate you sharing your feelings and advice. Anyway, thanks for everything & I’ll see you in Wednesday’s post!
