#BloggerProblems

blogger problems

So much of a blogger’s time is spent gathering inspiration, brainstorming, interacting with readers and other bloggers, communicating with brands and creating content. I thought it would be fun to do a post dedicated to #BloggerProblems and the habits and struggles we deal with on a day-to-day basis. Keep reading for my list of stereotypical blogger probs.

__________

We’re always glued to our phones and laptops.

Whether we’re filming or shooting photos, we’re obsessive about having good lighting.

EVERYTHING gets turned into a photo opportunity. Don’t doubt us.

We can’t ever choose one logo or site theme and stick with it for too long.

We could spend 10 years editing a single photo.

“Wait, I gotta add this to my Instagram story! Can you do that again?”

Interaction and consistency are our two biggest motivators, and sometimes we obsessive over it.

We read blogs and social media posts more than anything else, even important national news.

“Which photo do you like better: this one or this one?” *photos are seemingly identical*

We plan our beauty (and sometimes hygiene… eek!) routines around our blogging schedules.

We’re always watching/listening to YouTube videos, webinars and podcasts to gain new blogging and social media knowledge.

We force someone (typically our significant others… love you guys!) to stand in front of the camera so we can demonstrate how we want the shot framed.

When at a restaurant, NO ONE can eat or drink until we take a photo of it.

We’re constantly pulling out a notepad or the Notes app to jot down content ideas that come to us at the most random times.

Winter darkness and gloom is the enemy for scheduling photoshoots.

We’ll provide you with unwanted updates on other bloggers/YouTubers we’ve never met as if they’re our best friends.

We check our email way too often, yet we can still get behind on getting back to people sometimes.

We never shut up about branding. Ever.

  1. Hi Abby!
I have been on and off blogging but getting serious about it now. I always get great idea of blog posts at work and usually write posts on my lunch break. I have even enlisted the help of my fiance to take pictures of me. Ive been watching youtube videos and reading blogs religiously so long i’m not sure when I started. I always jot down notes in my notes app on my iPhone too! Anyway I love your content its amazing!

    1. Hi Ratanya, thank you so much! I’m the same way — I feel like most of my ideas come to me at work and I always find myself squeezing in time to write posts on my lunch breaks too! My fiance is my go-to photographer as well, which is great since he’s pretty much always around. Thank you for saying hi — I’m heading over to your blog now 🙂
