It’s time for another fashion trends post! These are some of my favorite posts to look back on to see what was in during past seasons. I must admit, there are some trends this season that I’m genuinely surprised by, some of which I’m still curious to test out and get a feel for. Keep reading for what to wear in spring 2019, including links to shop my picks of each!

SHELL JEWELRY

Not going to lie, this is one that surprises me. I’m suddenly getting flashbacks to the early 2000s and it’s shocking. The good thing is that this is a trend you can incorporate minimally, which is what I anticipate doing — but if you find me in a full-out puka shell choker in a month or two, don’t sue me. However, I’m really into the beachy vibes these pieces create. Linked below are some of my favorite finds!

NEON

This one is making me cringe a bit since neon REALLY doesn’t look good on me, as well as the fact that my senior prom was neon paint-splatter themed — I just really didn’t expect this to come back. It looks like neon is here to stay, at least for the spring season! If it’s not your vibe, you can incorporate it minimally here and there via accessories, like handbags or dresses with a hint of a neon print.

MULTICOLOR NAILS

This is another one I wasn’t super drawn to at first, but I’m starting to think they’re kinda fun! Whether you select different shades of one color or a complete assortment, it’s a great pop and eye-catching detail that you’ll probably find others complimenting/commenting on since it’s fairly unique.

GRAPHIC TEES + PRINTED SKIRTS

This trend has my name all over it, so needless to say I’m pretty pumped about it. It’s the perfect mix between casual and girly, and the best part is that you can create so many different outfit combinations. Alternatively, you can also layer tees over or under dresses, so that extends your wardrobe options even more. I did some looking around, and so far my favorite graphic tee finds are at Asos and Urban Outfitters. Urban Outfitters’ are often a little more expensive, but you’re usually getting an upgrade in quality — just some food for thought!

HAIR PINS + CLIPS

LOVE this since I will take any excuse to get my hair out of my face! These hair clips and pins have been everywhere and there are so many ways to embrace the trend. Whether your hair is down or up, pop one or more of these in for a fashion-forward vibe that’s not only cute, but practical. These definitely range in price, so shop around to make sure you get your money’s worth. Let me know if you’d like to see a hairstyles post centered around these!

CHUNKY SNEAKERS

If you’re not into the “chunky” sneaker trend, a great alternative is platform sneakers. These still give off a thicker, chunkier shoe vibe without being that retro “dad shoe” style that’s a little more out there (but insanely popular and fashion-forward right now). Any shoe that has a little extra thickness achieves the look.
