Life Update: April 2017

Life Update: April 2017 Welcome back to another life update post! I do these once every few months to update you on what I’ve been doing and what’s coming up for me, so keep reading for what’s current.

Wedding planning is coming to a close and I can’t believe our day is less than TWO MONTHS away! This year has flown by, just like everyone told me it would. I’m so glad we allotted ourselves a full year to plan our wedding because it’s been nice to not have to rush to get everything done within our busy schedules. I think it definitely would have been tough to plan everything in six months or less and I feel like I won’t know what to do with myself once our wedding is over.

I’ve made it a recent goal of mine to say “yes” more. Yes to new experiences and things I find challenging or intimidating. Like many of us, hesitating is usually my initial reaction toward unknown situations when I don’t know what to expect. I know that some of my favorite experiences I’ve had have come from doing something I was initially unsure about — whether that be going on a date, meeting a new friend or trying a new activity. It’s all worth it in the end, and I’m making a conscious effort to remind myself of that everyday. I encourage you all to do the same! 🙂

I’ve been immersing myself in brand work lately and I’ve been loving it! I’m absolutely in love with the whole business side of blogging just as much as I am with the casual side, such as personal posts like this. I just love helping people and sharing information that could entertain or benefit others in some way. I’m pushing myself to attend a couple new blog-related events this week, which I’m really excited about! I’m always striving to grow and I think expanding my horizons by attending events and building relationships is a great way to do that. I plan to document and share my experiences with you guys, so look out for that here on my blog and on social media (especially Insta stories!).

As a final update: I’ve been really happy. I’m generally a happy person all the time, but I’ve been feeling even better lately and it feels good. I feel motivated and inspired, but also content and relaxed — which is such a necessary balance for me. The Monica Geller in me is always wanting to work, work, work, so it’s essential to have peace in my life too. I’ve been staying organized on my blogging schedule, keeping up with housework the best I can (most of the time… however, I’m glad you can’t see my apartment right now) and spending time with loved ones. I function the best when I maintain a great middle ground between work and play and allow myself time for self-care, and time to care for those around me too. I’m in a good place.

What have you been up to lately? Thank you for catching up with me! Let me know what you’d like to see on my blog and YouTube channel, and you can read up on my previous life update posts here.

Have a great Wednesday!
