Hey guys! I wanted to do a quick post with some photos from our excursion to Friendly Falls in Wears Valley, Tennessee the other day! We ventured to this outdoor spot for lunch and some sightseeing.

This restaurant/waterfall seemed so randomly placed to me as we were driving up, but as you enter the patio area you'll discover just how gorgeous and calming it is! There's an outdoor area where bands sometimes play and there are plenty of little tables to sit at. I loved all the unique touches — including vintage lunch boxes on every table that had condiments inside!

This was my first time "gem mining" (thanks Doug!) and it was so fun! I absolutely love crystals and gems, so this activity was right up my alley. You purchase a bucket full of sand and gems, and then you use the sifters to see what you can find. It's a fun little activity for people of all ages, and I especially enjoyed doing it right by the water. I would definitely recommend checking out Friendly Falls if you're in the Pigeon Forge area for an outdoor lunch!

I'm home from Tennessee now, but I have more posts going up from the trip soon!
