Review: No7 Stay Perfect Foundation

Review: No7 Stay Perfect Foundation

Hey guys! Last week was crazy so I’m so glad to be sitting down to write a post on one of the simple, fun things in life — makeup! No7 is a brand you’ve probably seen at Target and Ulta, and I had heard such great things about their Stay Perfect foundation from bloggers and other people I follow online. Keep reading for my full review on the types of foundations they carry, price, shade range, application and wearability!

Review: No7 Stay Perfect Foundation

I was inspired to try this foundation after seeing Amber Fillerup of Barefoot Blonde raving about it on Instagram a few years ago. She claimed the coverage was great and was high-end quality at a mid-range price point. I was in the market for a new foundation at the time and was curious, so I gave it a go and haven’t turned back since. Now I’ve been using strictly No7 Stay Perfect foundation for years!

I often get asked by non-makeup wearers what kind of foundation they should buy, and this is always the brand I recommend. Not only is it great quality, but the price is fair and they have four different kinds, one of which is bound to be the right fit for your skin. Now, let’s get into the details.

Review: No7 Stay Perfect Foundation

TYPES & WHERE TO BUY

I’ve tried the Beautifully Matte and Stay Perfect foundations. The other two are Airbrush Away and Life & Illuminate, which is designed for anti-aging. I got my mom on the Lift & Illuminate and my cousin using the Beautifully Matte one! I originally tried the matte one (I used about 2+ bottles) because I have oily skin. However, the Stay Perfect was the one I had heard such good things about, so I gave that one a try as well and I’ve been repurchasing it ever since.

This foundation is sold at Target and No7’s website, and I’ve been able to find other products from the brand in-store at Ulta as well. I always buy mine at Target because I’ve found they have the widest shade range in stock.

PRICE

As I briefly touched on, this foundation is moderately priced, typically around $15.99. It’s more expensive than typical drugstore brands, but far less expensive than high end ones you can purchase from Sephora. Though I like high end makeup, it makes more sense for me to buy some products from the drugstore to cut costs because, let’s be honest, it’s makeup and it washes off your face at the end of the day anyway. I love that No7 are a perfect middle ground.

SHADES

I use Calico, which is their latest shade among their 10+ range. It certainly isn’t a super wide color range to choose from, especially in comparison to higher end products. However, I find that if you get the closest shade to your skin that you can find, you can always warm with up with bronzer to help it fit your natural skin tone as best as possible.

APPLICATION

I apply mine with a damp Real Techniques sponge and I suggest doing the same with a sponge of your choice. It allows the foundation to apply smoothly and evenly, and can be built up if you need more coverage. I use 3-4 pumps for my whole face and blending down my neck a bit. I always prefer applying it when I have self-tanner on my face because that’s when it matches my skin the best and looks the most natural and flawless!

WEARABILITY

I find that my foundation looks pretty good all day long with only a bit of blotting needed in my T-zone. Even though I use loose powder to bake every morning, I feel that I still need a little reapplication of powder if I plan to be out late after work — but do keep in mind, I have pretty oily skin, even without makeup on. Outside of that, I think it looks pretty seamless all day long, hence why I keep repurchasing! What can I say, I’m a BIG fan! 🙌🏻

__________

That’s my review! If you’ve ever been curious to try these foundations or are now intrigued to, definitely give it a go. If you do end up trying it, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. As always, thanks for being here and have a great day!
