Life Update: March 2016

It’s about time for an update on what I’ve been up to lately!

First and foremost: we won a honeymoon trip!?

We actually won through a drawing I entered at IndyBride2B’s Venue Crawl event a few weeks ago. We received a 2 night, “all inclusive” (minus airfare and stuff because nothing is free in this world, but hotel/food is paid for) stay at a one of a particular branch of resorts in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, or the Bahamas! We picked up our vouchers on Friday and we’re excited to save a little bit of money if we choose to go this route.

In addition to that, we also won our own set of champagne glasses engraved with our names for our wedding! So for those of you reading this that are also engaged, I highly suggest you go to bridal events and sign up for giveaways! Not only are the events super fun, but you can actually win stuff — who knew?! 😉

My final semester of college is in full swing and I’m feeling very lucky to have a such a light class load this semester. I’m only taking two classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I’m working my PR job at the agency on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This gives me time to focus on my career and what’s to come after graduation. I highly advise those of you that are in college to get a majority of your credits over with early on in your college career so you can relax a bit before graduation! Trust me, it’s so worth it!

Coming up within the next couple months, I have spring break in Florida with my family in three weeks (my first trip with Justin!), my senior comp exam in April, and apartment hunting! I’m so excited for what’s to come and I’m constantly having to remind myself to live in the moment and appreciate where I’m at right now. I know some day I’ll be missing my college days so much, so I need to enjoy them while they’re still here!

And finally, I wanted to mention that I’m in a really good place. Life is good and I’m appreciating every moment. I know the people I’ve surrounded myself with are supportive of me (and vice versa of course), and that is always such a great feeling. I’m incredibly confident in who I am & where I’m going and I’m excited for what’s to come!

Let me know if you have any suggestions of where we should go for our honeymoon — we’re open to anything!
