25 Things I Want to Accomplish at 25

25 Things I Want to Accomplish at 25

I turned 25 yesterday, you guys! Time for my quarter life crisis, maybe? Today’s post is one I’ve done for the past few years on my birthday reflecting on the things I’ve accomplished in my previous year of life, as well as new goals I’d like to cross off my to-do list within the next year. I see so much value on doing this reflection process and goal setting to reset my focus on what I want to manifest, as well as congratulate myself on my successes. Keep reading for the 25 things I want to accomplish at 25!

For me, manifesting means opening your mind to the possibility that the things you want most can happen. It means striving for goals that seem unreachable, and being open minded enough that opportunities and experiences can present themselves to you and you’ll actually see them, and take advantage of them.

Here are some of last year’s goals I wrote down and accomplished, plus a few more I’ve done that weren’t on my list:

  1. Go legitimate house hunting and make steps to (hopefully) buy or rent our first home — COULD NOT BE HAPPIER about crossing this one off!
  2. Do something I’m scared of and didn’t think I could do, but have always wanted to — I stepped way out of my comfort zone by hosting my first event at Gordmans.
  3. Make Bone & Bloom flourish — I love the projects I’ve worked on this year!
  4. Complete a minimum of two brand collaborations per month for the entire year — I haven’t went back and counted, but I think I accomplished this.
  5. Do my hair more often — I do it every single day now!
  6. Learn to love my full-time career life as much as I love my personal life — I desperately needed a job change this time last year and couldn’t be happier with where I’ve ended up.
  7. Appreciate how far I’ve come and always be proud of where I am — The comparison game is real and it sucks. Though I do have my bad days, I’m proud overall of how how far I’ve come.
  8. Remember that life doesn’t have to be so planned — I was forced to learn this a couple times over the past year, specifically with house hunting. As someone who likes to plan and be in control, I’ve had to learn to let things be and roll with the punches.
  9. Become more comfortable talking about my successes and accomplishments — I’ve gotten SO much better at this and reminding myself it’s okay to talk about my achievements.
  10. Booked my first travel collaborations (2!) — I didn’t know that this would be a realistic goal for me last past year, but I’m so glad it was. This proves that ANYTHING can happen, so don’t limit yourself!

THIS YEAR’S GOALS

  1. Make our house a home
  2. Establish a form of passive income (i.e. workshop, eBook)
  3. Build new friendships — Let’s be real here, I’m pretty introverted. I’m not someone who needs to hang out with friends every day, and I’m often pretty content having alone time or just being with my husband. I want to make more local couple friends, as well as girl friends.
  4. Become more well rounded as a business woman and wife
  5. Be more active and maybe come up with some kind of manageable fitness routine
  6. Book 3+ travel collaborations
  7. Pick back up my YouTube channel & make more video content
  8. Make abbysaylor.com an LLC
  9. Make moves toward making it to NYFW
  10. Upgrade my camera
  11. Learn to take better photos
  12. Grow my Instagram — I’d love to reach 10,000 this year, but I have a long way to go!
  13. Get more comfortable in front of the camera (I swear I’ll be working on this one until the day I die)
  14. Be more diverse and creative with my blog/Instagram photography styles
  15. Meal prep — I want to be more proactive about preparing meals to take to work ahead of time that I’ll actually want to eat when lunch time rolls around!
  16. Push out exclusive content to my email list
  17. Grow my Facebook following — I’d love to reach 200-300 likes
  18. Get better at being up to date with new social media/blogging techniques and applications — though I’m probably a bit better at this than the average person who doesn’t work in social media, I feel like I’m the last to know things sometimes!
  19. Drink more water
  20. Get back to taking daily vitamins
  21. Minimize my waste — i.e. recycle, use less plastic silverware, try those trendy reusable straws
  22. Try new restaurants rather than always going to the same ones to explore our city more
  23. Unplug sometimes and not think about work so much
  24. Chop my hair again
  25. Work with a big brand I use/wear everyday, love and haven’t worked with yet, like Coca Cola (I drink it every single day), Urban Outfitters or Target

I could go on and on, but these are the ones I want to accomplish most for personal growth and business growth. This past year has taught me the sky is the limit and buying a house and booking travel collaborations aren’t far off dreams like they seem. If you learn anything from this post, write down your goals, no matter how lofty you think they be, and open your mind to the possibility that they can very well happen. You’re capable of way more than you think. Thanks for reading & have a great weekend!
